Three reported Surge sightings, none confirmed

Perhaps fitting, three reports of Surge sightings on campus today (Friday the 13th) were unsubstantiated.
The first report came around 11 a.m. A member of the maintenance staff, who wished to remain anonymous, saw a "seven-foot grey figure" strolling down a back corridor in the Storm Dome.
At approximately 2:30 p.m. a call was placed to the athletics offices and an unidentified caller claimed to see a "large, wavy-headed character" taking batting practice in the cage behind the softball field. A return to the scene five minutes later found the cage empty.
Finally, a member of the men's basketball coaching staff, passing through the locker room at 4 p.m., heard dribbling in the arena. Although the facility was empty upon his arrival, he did come across a pair of large muddy footprints "that had to be at least a size 30" near one of the exits.
In response to the day's events, GSW athletic director Jaclyn Kaylor stated, "We're looking into each of the reports and hope to have more information soon. We are uncertain of Surge's whereabouts at this time; but can confirm that he will be in Americus on Monday in time for the women's game at 5:30 p.m."
If you have more information about any of Friday's sightings, or you encounter Surge before Monday's season opener, please contact the athletic department.
