AMERICUS, Ga. – The Georgia Southwestern State University chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes is proud to announce it will have a “Pink Day” of their own in recognition of breast cancer awareness.
The plan is simple: FCA is asking that all GSW students, faculty and staff wear pink on Thursday, October 27 in remembrance of those who have been affected by breast cancer. According to statistics from the Georgia Department of Health, over 5,000 new cases of breast cancer are reported in the state of Georgia every year.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes is made up of athletes, coaches, and students who share a love of God. The mission of FCA is to see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches. If any student is interested in joining FCA, please feel free to contact Sylvia Elkins, Reese Moseley, or Charles Pennington
