Ashley Harris delivered the go-ahead run and Megan Wilkinson made a sliding catch for the final out as Georgia Southwestern rallied for a split with visiting Lynn University on Monday. After dropping the first game 3-1, GSW rallied from a 3-0 deficit to win Game 2, 4-3.

Georgia Southwestern swept a doubleheader with Barry University on Sunday afternoon at Hurricane Field. GSW won the first game 12-8 and took the nightcap 3-2.

The Falcons won a pair of games against GSW on Saturday afternoon in Montevallo, Ala. The Lady Hurricanes fell 70-53 and the men went down to the wire for the third straight game, but lost 62-58.

After transferring from Brunswick Junior College in Brunswick Ga. in 1975 -
where Al had established the most wins by a pitcher in a season at that time - he started
under the long-standing coach, fine man and GSW Hall of Famer, Coach
Godfrey Knight. During Als two seasons, GSW reached new levels in postseason play, advancing to the district playoffs in 1975-76 and regional playoffs in Pine Bluff, AR in 1976-77. Al led the team in wins in both years. His highlight game was in his last year when GSW defeated the No. 2-ranked team in the country, Florida State University, 7 4; and Al picked up the complete-game win. He currently lives in his hometown of New Paltz, NY with his wife Susan and two children and is currently in his 33rd year at IBM as a Project Manager in the Main Frame computing business.
