Georgia Southwestern senior outfielder Bud Long was named to the 2010 Peach Belt Conference baseball All-Conference second team on Thursday afternoon.  

Long led the Hurricanes in several offensive categories, including: runs (46), slugging percentage (.528), and on-base percentage (.447).

The Kite, Ga. native hit a team-high .367 in conference play this spring while batting .358 with runners in scoring position.

Long becomes the second GSW baseball player to receive all-conference honors (joining Zach Whitman, 2009) since the university joined the NCAA in 2006-07 as Division II members.   

Columbus State’s Jason Rogers was named the PBC Player of the Year while North Georgia’s Chris Rearick was the Pitcher of the Year.  Francis Marion’s Don Sandifer was the Freshman of the Year while Georgia College’s Tom Carty was named the PBC Coach of the Year.  

The 2010 All-Conference team is listed below as selected by the league's head coaches. Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.
