Providing an Opportunity

AMERICUS - The Georgia Southwestern baseball program, led by head coach Bryan McLain, made a donation this morning to the Americus-Sumter County Recreation Department to assist with registration fees for underprivileged youth in the community.

The Hurricanes hold their annual Blue vs. White intrasquad series in November during fall practice, with the losing team hosting a car wash. Over the past two years, all proceeds of the car wash have been donated to the recreation department.

McLain, accompanied by Hurricane players Kyle Nobles and Matthew Suggs, presented parks and recreation director Tim Estes with a check from GSW baseball.
