Practice got underway this week as the GSW Hurricane Spring athletic programs have started preparations for their upcoming 2013 seasons.
In preparation, GSWAthletics.com begins a weekly 'Two-A-Day' series that will introduce you to two key players in each of our five Spring athletic programs every Friday in the month of January.
Get to know the senior leaders of the Georgia Southwestern baseball, softball, men’s and women’s tennis and golf teams as they go through the ‘Category 7’ ringer, and hear their thoughts about their upcoming seasons.
This week a pair of senior standouts from the GSW Baseball and Softball programs are featured.
First up is Justin Lott. The 6-foot-6 right handed pitcher from Albany, enters his second season with the Hurricanes. A transfer from Valdosta State, the senior is coming off a season that saw him pitch 18 innings with a 3.00 ERA with 22 strikeouts and two saves.

Next is GSW Softball’s Janna Anderson.
Anderson, the 5’7 infielder, who transferred to Americus from Middle Georgia College, played in 52 games last year for GSW. As a junior, she scored 11 runs for the Hurricanes while driving in nine for a Southwestern team that finished 22-30 on the season.
