'Canes top three DI schools, finish ninth at North South Intercollegiate

The Georgia Southwestern golf team finished ninth in the 13-team North South Intercollegiate hosted by Butler University that wrapped up Tuesday in Jacksonville Beach, Fla.

Adam McKenney finished the 36-hole tournament tied for 22nd place with a two-over-par 142 total to lead the 'Canes. Christopher Hall was a stroke off of McKenney's pace with a three-over-par 143 total.  Reese Moseley (144) and Jordan Britt (149) completed the Hurricanes scoring.

Southwestern (578) finished ahead of NCAA Division I schools IPFW (581), Florida A&M (584) and Hampton (663). Florida Gulf Coast shot a 544 to win the team title.

Casey Johnson from Appalachian State won individual medalist honors with a two-day total of 133 (68-65).

Southwestern returns to action on March 24-25 at the University of West Georgia Invitational in Villa Rica, Ga.
