TAZEWELL, Tenn. - Georgia Southwestern freshman Fraser Johnston led the Hurricanes in the final round at the State Farm Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The Hurricanes posted a two-round total of 607 at Woodlake Golf Club and slipped a spot from their opening round ninth place to finish the tournament in 10th place out of 12 teams.
Johnston had a rough first day finishing 8-over par. During Day 2, Johnston had two birdies and three bogies finishing the round at +1. Johnston carded a 153 total and finished in 40th place.
After a great first day, the weather change seemed to be too much for sophomore Anders Olsson. With two birdies and five bogies, Olsson finished at 7-over. However, Olsson led GSW in the individual standings as he finished in 28th place with a 149 for the tournament.
Nick Ward finished Day 2 with an 80, and tied for 47th overall with fellow 'Cane Jordan Baker. Baker posted a 74 on Tuesday. Chris Campos ended the afternoon with a 78.
The Hurricanes round out the fall portion of their 2013-14 schedule at the two-day TVA Credit Union Classic hosted by North Alabama beginning on Monday at Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club in Killen, Ala.
