AMERICUS - Georgia Southwestern head men's golf coach Darcy Donaldson welcomes four new members to the Hurricane program this fall. Transfers Hunter Elliott, Hayes Dupree, Kyle Cameron and Chris Low add some veteran depth to the GSW roster.
"I am very excited about the four players coming in this year," Donaldson said. "They are great student-athletes and the group brings a lot of experience and talent from their previous schools."
Elliott comes to GSW from Darton State College where he started in six events last year and tied for 24th with a 233 for a season-best finish at the Darton College Doublegate Collegiate. Elliott, a Conyers, Ga. native, will be entering his sophomore season.
Dupree joins GSW as a junior after spending the last two seasons at Eastern Arizona College. Last season Dupree was named to the NJCAA Division I PING All-District Team and finished the season with a 74.13 scoring average in 23 rounds played. He hails from Mohave Valley, Ariz.
Cameron also joins GSW as a junior, playing his previous two seasons at Gordon State College. Last year he finished with a 76.8 scoring average in the 10 rounds he played. Cameron is from Newnan, Ga.
The final addition to the GSW roster is senior Chris Low. A North Berwick, Scotland native, Low spent the past two seasons playing for McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas, where he was named to the NJCAA Division I PING All-District Team and the NJCAA All-Academic Team and All-Conference Team.
"With this added experience to last year's young team, we have set our goals high for the upcoming season," Donaldson said.
