COLUMBUS, Ga. - Georgia Southwestern placed 11th out of 17 teams posting a score of 881 after three rounds at the AFLAC/Cougar Invitational and beat out 20th ranked Georgia College. Sophomore Fraser Johnston and senior Chris Low both improved in round three and tied each other for 48th overall.
Johnston began the tournament with a +9 after the first two rounds scoring a 75 and a 76. In round three he had three bogies and three birdies to finish matching par at 71 moving him from 63rd to tie for 48th overall.
Low came into the third round sitting in 52nd after scoring 74 and 75 in the first two rounds with a 7-over par. After five bogies and three birdies he scored a 73 in the final round with a +2 and finished in a tie for 48th overall.
The men are back on the road for their third tournament next week October 6 and 7 for the North Georgia Fall Invitational hosted by the University of North Georgia.
