Dane receives school's first NCAA All-Region honor

Georgia Southwestern senior men's soccer player Christian Dane was recently named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar All-South Region Team.

Christian is currently preparing to graduate with a 3.72 grade point average and a degree in Psychology.

Dane is the first Hurricane to receive an all-region award since GSW joined the NCAA in 2006. He was one of only two Peach Belt athletes to make a NSCAA All-Region team for the 2008 season.

The 'Cane stalwart was a four year starter and the improvement of the program is a direct result of his leadership and passion. The versatile midfielder/defender started in over 85% of the games in his four years and amassed four goals and six assists.
