GSW tennis teams see two-match winning streaks snapped

The GSW men's and women's tennis teams watched their season records drop to 2-2 with a pair of 9-0 losses to Columbus State on Thursday afternoon at the Susan K. Smith Tennis Complex.

The Georgia Southwestern women's tennis team fell to No. 8 Columbus State, 9-0, in a nonconference matchup at the Susan K. Smith Tennis Complex on Thursday afternoon.

The Lady Hurricanes (2-2) best showing came at No. 1 singles where Leady Cuellar lost to Loraine Favoretto 6-3, 6-3.

The loss to CSU snaps a two-match winning streak for GSW.

Friday's match at Albany State has been postponed. Next up for the Lady ‘Canes is a home match with Fort Valley State on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
