The Jaguars added an unearned run off a GSW fielding error in the third to extend the lead to 3-0.

THe Lady Hurricanes scored their first run of the night in the fourth inning on Buck's solo home run to center field.

GSW's best opportunities to score the rest of the way came in the fourth when Katie Wooten was left stranded on second and in the sixth when Lyndie Duff was left on third.

Augusta State (20-6, 6-0 PBC) starter Emily Corish (7-3) threw six innings, scattered five hits, allowed one run and struck out five. Kimberly Kennedy earned the save (2) when she struck out the side in the seventh.
