Softball's Pastor Honored as PBC Pitcher of the Week

AMERICUS, Ga. - Georgia Southwestern junior pitcher Allison Pastor was honored this week as the Peach Belt Conference's Pitcher of the Week. This is the first Pitcher of the Week honor for Pastor, a native of Vero Beach, Florida.

A transfer from Indian River State College, Pastor won three straight decisions last week, running her streak to four, with 18 innings pitched and no earned runs allowed.

She tossed a complete-game win over #13 Rollins and followed that up with a five-hit shutout against West Georgia.  For the week she struck out 10 and walked only two, had a 1.000 fielding percentage in seven chances and also drew two walks and scored two runs against Albany State.

Pastor is currently tied for third in the PBC with four victories, third in complete games and seventh in innings pitched.

The Lady Hurricanes will be back in action this Saturday, Feb. 16, as they host Brewton-Parker in doubleheader action starting at 2 p.m.
