GSW head softball coach Eddie Ward today announced the signing of seven players for the 2010-11 academic year. Added to the roster are transfers Casey Burns, Jessica Chewning, Katie Maddox and Mason Moreland, along with freshmen Hayley Knight, Christie Shankle and Erin Vick.

The Peach Belt Conference has announced that 1,079 student-athletes have been named to the Presidential Honor Roll from the league office in Augusta. A total of 62 GSW student-athletes earned the honor in 2009-10, a nine percent increase from last year's total.

Representing SB&T Bank in Americus, Ryan Young (center right) presented a check Tuesday, June 15 to GSW Foundation Executive Director Stick Miller for a significant amount to be split evenly between the GSW baseball and softball programs. SB&T Bank is an avid supporter of Georgia Southwestern State University and GSW Athletics.
