CLEVELAND, Ga. - The Georgia Southwestern women's basketball team picked up its fifth win of the season on Wednesday evening, rolling past Truett-McConnell, 82-59.
GSW led 41-23 at the half.
The Lady Hurricanes (5-3) had four players score in double figures, led by Cierra Duhart with 12. LaConna Campbell and Nadirah Gardner added 11 points apiece. Terra Branch chipped in 10.
Samantha Smith grabbed a game-high seven rebounds for GSW.
Truett-McConnell's Jasmine Butler led all scorers with 15 points.
GSW shot 46.8 percent from the floor for the game, outrebounded the Lady Bears, 49-27, and held a 50-20 advantage in bench scoring.
The Lady Hurricanes return to action tomorrow with a noon tip at Young Harris.
