#24 Nova Southeastern too hot for Lady Canes
Georgia Southwestern State University Women's Soccer Team
celebrated Youth Soccer Month today, as they hosted #24 ranked Nova
Southeastern University Lady Sharks. Unfortunately for Georgia
Southwestern, the day that started with a friendly youth soccer
scrimmage, was capped by a 7-0 loss by the Lady Canes.
Lady Sharks got on a scoreboard early in the game and never looked
back. Shurell Burton scored team's first goal just five minutes
into the regulation. She also went on to score again in the 16th
minute of the game. Lauren Prow also had two goals for the Lady
Sharks, Natalie Bellini, Hayley Oligane and Noha Saleh scored one
goal each.
Nova Southeastern outshot Georgia Southwestern 33-3 also recording
19 shots on goal versus just 2 by the Lady Canes.
Christy Drabek recorded 12 saves for the Lady Canes.
Georgia Southwestern will next host University of West Georgia on
Wednesday, September 12 at 4:00 p.m.
