VALDOSTA, Ga. - Freshman Zada Hyatt scored her first two collegiate goals on Saturday evening to lead the Georgia Southwestern women's soccer team to its first win of the season, a 3-1 decision over Queens University of Charlotte in the Valdosta State University Tri-Conference Challenge.
Sophomore newcomer Kelsi Krohn added a score for the Lady Hurricanes and Julia Wells picked up an assist.
Goalkeeper Amber Bahri stopped eight for GSW.
Southwestern (1-1) has won three of its last five matches dating back to last season.
GSW returns to Americus for a three-match homestand, which opens Friday at 5 p.m. with a showdown against West Alabama.
