Georgia Southwestern State University athletics hired Bryce Lawson as assistant athletic trainer for the 2017-18 school year. Lawson additionally assumes the role of overseeing athletic performance, a newly created position in the department.
Lawson, ATC, worked as a preferred athletic trainer at ESPN Wide World of Sports from June-August of 2017 after joining ESPN WWOS as a post-grad intern in October 2016.
After receiving his bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training from the University of South Florida in 2014, Lawson went on to Lindenwood University where he was a graduate assistant from 2014-16 and worked primarily with Lindenwood's national runner-up women's rugby team. Lawson also worked with the aquatic teams at Lindenwood, including men's/women's swimming and diving, men's/women's water polo and synchronized swimming.
Lawson graduated with his master's degree in Science of Human Performance from Lindenwood in 2016.
