Lucky Number Seven

AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern baseball team won their fourth straight game defeating Albany State, 7-1, on Tuesday evening at Hurricane Stadium.

Albany State scored first on an RBI single to give them a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

The Canes scored two runs on two hits in the bottom of the second inning GSW never trailed after scoring in the second inning.

GSW recorded six hits in the game Jake Blinstrub and Miles Hartsfield each recorded two hits in the game.

Colby Gordon (1-1) earned his first win of the season. Gordon hurled 5 1/3 innings in relief duty allowing one hit and striking out four batters. 

GSW will stay home to host Peach Belt Conference rival Georgia College and State University for Alumni Weekend at 6:00 p.m Friday.
