Saint Nick Hurls Complete Game Shutout over UNG

AMERICUS, Ga. -- The Georgia Southwestern baseball team got back into the win column by defeating the University of North Georgia, 7-0, on Friday night at Hurricane Stadium.

GSW got their offense going early they scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning. Jake Blinstrub started the inning with a single from that moment the Canes opened up the floodgates when Miles Hartsfield hit an RBI double the Canes would go on to score two more runs and record two hits.

Cory Lee extended the Canes lead with a two-run RBI in the bottom of the fourth three Canes players recorded multiple hits Reid Ragsdale, Garrett Bradley, Paul Hegeman all went 2-for-4 and scored a run.

Nick McCollum earned his fifth win pitched a complete game shutout and struck out nine batters this was his third shutout of the season.

GSW will look to continue their winning streak as they continue their weekend series against North Georgia on Saturday at 2 p.m.
