MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior Grettie Reifenberger delivered the best performance by a Georgia Southwestern runner in four years as the Lady Hurricanes wrapped up their 2025 season at the Peach Belt Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning at the Bobcat Cross Country Course.
Reifenberger clocked a personal-best 21:10.8, finishing 53rd overall in the 5K race. Her mark was not only a career best but also the highest conference championship finish for a GSW runner since 2021.
Sophomore Sonja Bernacki followed with a personal-best 25:17.3, while freshman Crystal Lance ran a 26:07.0 in her Peach Belt debut. Freshmen Luiza Rodrigues (31:07.2) and Maggie McDonald (31:07.3) crossed the line together, with senior Madison Griffis close behind at 31:10.8, also recording a season-best time.
As a team, Georgia Southwestern placed 10th overall with 308 points, edging Middle Georgia State in the standings. The finish capped a fall that saw continued progress for the GSW lineup, including multiple personal records and the program's fastest individual time at the conference meet in nearly half a decade.
