NORMAN, Okla. -- For the 50th consecutive poll, Georgia Southwestern State University has maintained its place among the nation's top 25 programs, once again proving its consistency and dominance in NCAA Division II golf. The Hurricanes, ranked No. 3 in the latest 2025-26 Bushnell/Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll released Friday afternoon, continue their impressive run as one of the premier teams in the country.

With 405 points in this week's poll, Georgia Southwestern is ranked just 76 points behind No. 1 University of North Georgia and 10 points behind the defending national champions and second-ranked University of West Florida. This marks the 50th consecutive poll in which the Hurricanes have been ranked among the nation's top 25 teams, an incredible streak that highlights the team's sustained success since the streak began in 2019.

GSW topped West Florida by 16 strokes earlier this week at their season-opening tournament, the Mizuno Intercollegiate in Gainesville, Ga., and finished two strokes behind North Georgia.

The Hurricanes position in the top 3 further demonstrates its competitive edge in the early stages of the season, despite strong challenges from other highly-ranked programs like Lander University, Florida Southern College, and the 2022 and 2023 national runner-up Oklahoma Christian University.
